Mattel163 enhances accessibility in its mobile card games with the "Beyond Colors" update. This update introduces colorblind-friendly decks for Phase 10: World Tour, Uno! Mobile, and Skip-Bo Mobile.
Instead of relying on traditional colors, the new decks utilize simple shapes – squares, triangles, circles, and stars – to represent the different colors. This allows players with colorblindness to easily distinguish between cards.
The update, developed with input from colorblind gamers, ensures consistent shape representation across all three games. Enabling the Beyond Colors deck is straightforward: access in-game account settings via your avatar and select the new deck theme.
This initiative reflects Mattel163's commitment to inclusivity. The company aims for 80% of its game portfolio to be colorblind-accessible by 2025. With an estimated 300 million colorblind individuals globally (according to the Cleveland Clinic), this update significantly broadens the player base for these popular mobile titles.
Uno! Mobile offers the classic card-discarding gameplay, Phase 10: World Tour focuses on completing phases, and Skip-Bo Mobile provides a unique solitaire experience.
