6 ImagesThese five cards form a "cycle," sharing a common design framework across each of Magic's colors. They are all affordable, common-rarity creatures, featuring an ability linked to one of Tarkir's three-color clans, as well as a mechanic that allows players to convert mana into a color associated with that clan.

Wizards of the Coast Senior Game Designer Adam Prosak explains, "Three-color limited environments require robust mana fixing across all rarities. We designed these creatures to enable players to develop their mana base while simultaneously playing to the board. Unlike other mana-fixing options like tapped lands, which can put you at a disadvantage, these creatures offer a strategic advantage."
