Don't Nod, the French studio behind the acclaimed Life is Strange series, has released the first chapter of their new narrative adventure. Dive into Tape 1 now, with Tape 2 launching free for all owners on April 15th.
Unveiled in 2023, the game plunges players into the lives of a close group of friends irrevocably shattered during the summer of 1995. Twenty-seven years later, the specter of that summer returns, unleashing unforeseen and chilling consequences.
Blending the nostalgic charm of the 90s with the suspense of psychological thrillers like It, Yellowjackets, and I Know What You Did Last Summer, the game is masterfully crafted. The narrative is divided into two parts: Bloom and Rage. Currently, only Bloom, the first half of this haunting mystery, is available (February 18th).
The Tape, the second part, originally scheduled for March, has been delayed until April 15th to ensure a refined experience.
The review embargo has lifted, with OpenCritic reporting an average score of 74/100—a promising start for this gripping mystery.
