World of Warcraft Adding Recolors of Rare Mounts, But There\'s a Catch
Two exclusive WoW mounts, the Blazing Royal Fire Hawk and the Golden Ashes of Al'ar, are making their debut in WoW China, starting January 15th. These mounts are reimagined versions of the incredibly rare Pureblood Fire Hawk and Ashes of Al'ar, respectively.
The Blazing Royal Fire Hawk, reminiscent of its predecessor, boasts a unique feature: auspicious clouds within its wings while in flight. These clouds, symbolic of peace and good fortune in Chinese culture, add a distinctly Eastern flair.
The Golden Ashes of Al'ar, a resplendent gold phoenix, pays homage to Kael'thas Sunstrider, its original namesake. The mount's description even includes his iconic line: "The golden Al'ar, beloved pet of Kael'thas Sunstrider, proves that death is merely a setback."
These mounts are obtainable through separate promotions: the Blazing Royal Fire Hawk via a "Treasure Workshop" event, and the Golden Ashes of Al'ar from Landro's Loot Box, priced at ¥200 (approximately $27). The loot box offers a chance at other valuable items, including the X-51 Nether Rocket X-TREME and the rare Swift Spectral Tiger. Team purchases offer bonus crates.
While currently exclusive to China, the possibility of an international release remains open. For now, players outside China can only appreciate these magnificent mounts from afar.
