Hot off the heels of *Dynasty Warriors: Origins*, Koei Tecmo has released another exciting addition to the musou genre: *Warriors: Abyss*. This new roguelite game brings together the iconic characters from the Warriors series and introduces a fresh twist with its gameplay. Released today, *Warriors: Abyss* is set to captivate fans with its unique mechanics and engaging narrative.

Showcased during today's PlayStation State of Play, *Warriors: Abyss* allows players to form a squad of characters to battle through endless waves of enemies. The game adopts an isometric camera angle, drawing inspiration from classics like *Diablo* and the acclaimed Greek-themed roguelite *Hades*. As you delve into the depths of "hell," you'll encounter demonic foes and command a team of familiar faces from the Warriors universe, including Zhou Yu, Nobunaga Oda, and Sunshang Xiang.

According to the PlayStation Blog, you can recruit and add characters to your team over time, enhancing your combat capabilities with additional summoning actions. Players can deploy up to seven active heroes in battle, with a roster of 100 warriors available at launch. Koei Tecmo has plans to expand the character lineup post-launch, starting with additions from the Jin kingdom in *Dynasty Warriors*. The developer hinted at future waves of characters, suggesting that some might even come from outside the Warriors series.
