Wolcen Studio has announced the launch of Project Pantheon, an innovative free-to-play combat role-playing game that integrates elements of extraction shooter mechanics. The first closed alpha test is scheduled to begin on January 25 for players in Europe, with North American players joining in on February 1.

Drawing inspiration from games like Diablo and Escape from Tarkov, Project Pantheon aims to create a unique gaming experience. We're excited to gather feedback from our players. In this game, participants assume the role of Death's messengers, striving to restore order to a shattered world.

Players will navigate through maps, engaging in combat with both AI and other players. Successful evacuations allow them to secure trophies, while unsuccessful ones result in the loss of all loot. The game offers extensive customization options, enabling players to build their own bases, tailor their equipment, and experiment with various playstyles. The setting draws from world mythologies, and the in-game economy is built around player trading.

The initial adventures will take place in "Destiny's Edge," a region inspired by Scandinavian legends. Even though Project Pantheon is in its early alpha phase, the developers are committed to actively involving the community to refine and enhance the game.
