Phase 7 of Season of Discovery comes just two months after Phase 6, which saw players return to Silithus for the Scepter of the Shifting Sands quest chain and the Ahn'qiraj raids. As raid teams ventured into Ahn'qiraj to battle formidable foes like the Old God C'thun, many players noticed a mysterious Shadowy Figure lurking in the desert ruins. While some speculated this figure could be Xal'atath, the main antagonist of World of Warcraft: The War Within, the Shadowy Figure only made cryptic comments about the Old Gods in Phase 6. Whether this enigmatic character will appear again in Phase 7 remains to be seen.

Though Phase 7 marks the end of Season of Discovery, World of Warcraft Classic players can look forward to new challenges. Phase 7 will go live on Tuesday, January 28, following server maintenance.
