The Last Knight side quest in Wuthering Waves adds an engaging layer to the Rinascita region, offering a break from the main storyline and larger exploration quests. It provides a glimpse into the everyday life beyond Ragunna City and comes with rewarding benefits. While not as intricate as quests like "Where Wind Returns To Celestial Realms" in WuWa, The Last Knight is straightforward and less time-consuming. Here's a detailed walkthrough to guide you through this quest.

Starting The Last Knight Quest

To embark on The Last Knight quest, you must first complete Chapter 2, including the "What Yesterday Wept, Today Doth Sing" quest. We recommend finishing the main storyline before diving into Rinascita's side quests, as many are locked until you've completed Chapter 2 Act 3.

Once you've wrapped up the main questline, make your way to Egla Town in Whisperwind Haven. Look for Cosimo, who should be standing in front of the first house near the main road exiting the town. He'll be marked with a blue quest marker on your map, making him easy to find.

The Night Reveries

The Night Reveries celebrate a knight who once defeated a giant in Whisperwind Haven. As part of this quest, you'll need to participate in this nighttime event by defeating the Mad Knight and other challenges.

The Mad Knight appears only at night, so advance time to between 18:00 and 06:00 the following day. Head to the pool at the town's center to confront this foe. Despite not being a formidable opponent, use your strongest attacks to take it down swiftly.

The Last Knight: Mimic Chests

After defeating the Mad Knight, proceed to the tallest tower in town and follow the quest marker to where Carlow lies unconscious beside a large, purple flower. Interact with the flower to be transported to a different instance where you'll need to identify the real chest among mimics.

The first three chests are legitimate, but in the next set, only one is real—the second chest in the middle-left position. Opening it will reward you with Astrites and other goodies, though you'll then face an attack from the mimics. Defeat them and continue the quest.

The Knight's Trail and The Strange Scent

Once you're back from the purple flower's effect, you'll be tasked with visiting two more locations linked to the legendary Mad Knight. Simply follow the quest markers and engage with NPCs at these spots.

After speaking with Mr. Millkeeper, Abby will mention a peculiar scent. Follow the quest marker uphill to encounter a unique Chop Chop accompanied by an invulnerable Leftless and Rightless. Equip a Questless Knight Echo in your main Echo slot to parry the Chop Chop's attacks and stun it effectively.

Upon defeating the Chop Chop, Mr. Millkeeper reveals that the legendary knight was a myth created by him and other Windmill Keepers to protect the people. This revelation causes Carlow to flee in disbelief.

Find Carlow

Return to Egla Town during daylight and locate Carlow in one of the town's plazas. You'll find him facing two knights who are mocking him. Instead of backing down, Carlow vows to challenge one of them to a duel, letting go of his romanticized view of the Mad Knight and embracing the true essence of protection.

The quest concludes with Carlow's duel request, and you'll be rewarded with Union XP, Astrites, and other resources. Completing The Last Knight will mark it off your list for the Tales of the Isles event.
