Xbox Game Pass Announces New Titles for Early January

Microsoft kicked off 2025 with its first Game Pass lineup announcement, confirming earlier leaks and rumors. This follows recent significant changes to the service, including updated age restrictions and a revised rewards system.
Seven new games are joining Xbox Game Pass in January 2025, as announced on January 7th via the official Xbox blog. Road 96, a choice-driven adventure, is immediately available across all Game Pass tiers, marking its return after a previous stint on the service. Six more titles arrive later in the month, with most launching on January 8th and two on January 14th.

- Robin Hood – Sherwood Builders (Available January 8th)
- Rolling Hills (Available January 8th)
- UFC 5 (Available January 14th - Game Pass Ultimate only)
- Diablo (Available January 14th - Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass only)
The highly anticipated Diablo and UFC 5 are confirmed, but with a caveat: Diablo is exclusive to Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass, while UFC 5 is a Game Pass Ultimate-only title. The remaining games are accessible with a standard subscription.
Alongside the new games, several Game Pass Ultimate perks launched on January 7th, including a weapon charm for Apex Legends and DLC packs for First Descendant, Vigor, and Metaball.
Conversely, six games are leaving Xbox Game Pass on January 15th:
