At the Nintendo Switch 2 Experience event in Japan, a speedrunner set an astonishing record by completing The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild on the Nintendo Switch 2 within a tight 10-minute window. As reported by VGC, the Japanese content creator Ikaboze achieved this feat using a pre-existing save file, despite being unaware of Link's equipment. In a bold move, Ikaboze decided to take on the final boss, Ganon, "completely naked and with all my equipment removed." Remarkably, just seven minutes into the challenge, Ganon was defeated, prompting spontaneous applause from the gathered onlookers.

The accomplishment was made even more impressive by Ikaboze's use of an unfamiliar controller and the inability to hear the game over the noise of the convention hall. Reflecting on the experience, Ikaboze noted, "I was surprised by how many people had gathered. Staff were even filming on their smartphones. This was the first time anyone had completed the Breath of the Wild demo, and staff congratulated me."

The Nintendo Switch 2 Enhanced Edition of Breath of the Wild boasts improved visuals and performance, achievements, and introduces the "Zelda Notes" feature through the Nintendo Switch Online app. Owners of the original Switch version can upgrade to these enhancements with a $10 "upgrade pack." Additionally, subscribers to Nintendo Switch Online and the Expansion Pack can access upgrade packs for both Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom at no additional cost.
