Zenless Zone Zero官方确认，1.5版本将首次推出S级角色复刻，艾伦·乔伊和庆仪将强势回归。角色是米哈游旗下热门游戏（如Zenless Zone Zero）的关键组成部分，游戏通常会限定角色获取时间，以此吸引玩家付费或消耗游戏内资源来解锁角色。
与米哈游的其他旗舰游戏（例如《原神》和《崩坏：星穹铁道》）不同，Zenless Zone Zero此前从未推出过复刻卡池，每次更新都只专注于添加新的角色。粉丝们原本认为备受期待的Zenless Zone Zero 1.4版本会推出复刻卡池，效仿《原神》的模式，但最终并未实现。然而，米哈游最终确认了Zenless Zone Zero复刻将在下一个主要游戏更新中到来。
在Zenless Zone Zero 1.5版本中，错过之前更新或新加入游戏的玩家，终于有机会获得之前发布的角色。根据Zenless Zone Zero 1.5版本特别节目公布的信息，第一阶段（1月22日开始）将推出以太角色Astra Yao，以及艾伦·乔伊的复刻卡池（最初于1.1版本登场）。更棒的是，更新还将加入艾伦的角色故事。

与之前的更新类似，1.5版本也分为两个阶段，第二阶段将于2月12日推出全新的卡池。Zenless Zone Zero将在第二阶段推出Evelyn Chevalier，同时为错过1.1版本下半部分的玩家带来PubSec探员庆仪的复刻。值得注意的是，两个复刻角色的专属W-引擎也将回归，方便玩家为角色配备专属装备。
1.5版本特别节目还证实了此前关于新角色服装的传闻。在泄露数日后，米哈游公布了1.5版本将推出的三套新服装，包括Astra的“枝形吊灯”、艾伦的“校园风”和妮可的“狡黠甜心”。特别是妮可的“狡黠甜心”服装，将作为“璀璨心愿日”限时活动的奖励免费赠送。
