aSPICE is a secure, open-source SPICE protocol client that leverages the LGPL licensed native libspice library, offering robust remote desktop access to QEMU KVM virtual machines. This versatile tool supports SSH tunneling for enhanced security and can control any SPICE-enabled qemu virtual machine regardless of the guest operating system.

For iOS and Mac OS X users, aSPICE is now accessible through aSPICE Pro, available on the App Store at https://apps.apple.com/ca/app/aspice-pro/id1560593107. By purchasing the donation version, aSPICE Pro, you support the ongoing development of this GPL open-source software. If you encounter any issues, please utilize the "Send email" feature on Google Play to report them directly, rather than leaving a review.

Stay updated with the latest releases by checking the release notes at https://github.com/iiordanov/remote-desktop-clients/blob/master/bVNC/CHANGELOG-aSPICE. You can also access older versions and report bugs through the GitHub repository at https://github.com/iiordanov/remote-desktop-clients/releases and https://github.com/iiordanov/remote-desktop-clients/issues, respectively. For any questions, the forum at https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/bvnc-ardp-aspice-opaque-remote-desktop-clients is an excellent resource.

In addition to aSPICE, explore bVNC, my VNC Viewer, available on Google Play at https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.iiordanov.freebVNC.

If you're facing issues with mouse pointer synchronization, consider using the "Simulated Touchpad" input mode or adding an "EvTouch USB Graphics Tablet" to your virtual machine. To add the tablet, follow these steps:

  • If using virt-manager, navigate to the View->Details section, and select Add Hardware->Input->EvTouch USB Graphics Tablet.
  • For command-line users, include an option similar to: "-device usb-tablet,id=input0" when starting your virtual machine.

aSPICE offers an array of features to enhance your remote desktop experience:
