The Peak Hunters app boasts a continually growing database of peaks, initially focusing on the Czech Republic and expanding to neighboring countries. By leveraging your mobile phone's GPS, you can document your ascents and earn points based on the mountain's altitude and the climb's difficulty. You have the freedom to add your own ratings and photos for each peak, enhancing your personal mountain collection.

Navigating the app is a breeze, with all peaks displayed clearly on the map. You can filter them by country, mountain range, or proximity to your current location. To ensure you're never lost in the wilderness, you can download offline map data, crucial in areas where the signal might be weak. These maps, sourced from OpenStreetMap, also highlight tourist routes, making your mountain adventures more enjoyable.

If you come across a peak not listed in our database or plan to visit a new hill, simply long-touch the map to suggest it for inclusion. Once approved, the peak will appear in the app, and you'll earn bonus points for your contribution. For each peak, the app provides a current weather forecast, aiding in your trip planning with up to a 48-hour outlook. Another standout feature is the ability to identify mountain peaks by simply pointing your phone at them, with the distance filter set appropriately.

You can use Peak Hunters in an anonymous mode, which functions identically to a registered profile but lacks the ability to transfer your profile to other devices or restore it if your device is lost or data is damaged. We recommend trying the app in incognito mode before transitioning to a registered profile for full functionality.
