Welcome to the Catch Records App, designed specifically for English and Welsh under 10 metre (U10m) flag vessels that fish in UK waters. This user-friendly tool is here to help you create and submit your catch records seamlessly, ensuring compliance and supporting sustainable fishing practices.

All U10m flag vessels are required to meticulously record their catch. This vital information assists UK fishing authorities in managing fishing levels sustainably, ensuring the health and longevity of our marine resources.

This service is available to:

• Registered vessel owners
• Skippers

If you're a registered vessel owner, keep an eye out for an invite email. The timing of this email depends on your vessel's size. You have one calendar month from the receipt of this email to register and begin using the service.

Are you a skipper? Reach out to the vessel owner to request an invite to join the system.

Please note, if you're a member of a producer organisation and lease quota, you should continue to use a paper logbook for recording your catch rather than this online service.

This innovative app replaces the need for:

• The NEP1 form
• The MSAR1 form (though local IFCAs may require additional information depending on your location)
• The requirement to complete a logbook when leasing fish quota and/or when fishing in 2 ICES areas (currently IV4/VIId and VIId/VIIe)
