The Tawakkalna Emergency app is the official tool in Saudi Arabia for managing emergency situations and ensuring community safety. Developed by the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA), it has been instrumental in curbing the spread of COVID-19 across the Kingdom.
Initially launched to streamline relief efforts, Tawakkalna facilitated the electronic issuance of curfew passes during the "Curfew Period." This service was crucial for both government and private sector employees, as well as individuals, helping to minimize the spread of the virus by controlling movement.
As the situation evolved into the "Return with Caution" phase, the app introduced several new features designed to support a safe return to normalcy. One of its key functionalities is providing users with a clear indication of their health status through a secure, color-coded system that respects user privacy and security.
