Forward Chess brings a chess book and a full chessboard right to your fingertips!

Forward Chess is an interactive chess book reader. Study the book, follow book variations, and test your own ideas. You can activate the integrated Stockfish engine—one of the world's strongest chess engines—at any moment to get an evaluation of moves from the book or your own variations. It's like having a chess book, a board, and a powerful analysis tool all in the palm of your hand!

One of the standout features of Forward Chess is its ergonomic layout. The engineers have designed conveniently placed "Previous" and "Next" buttons for fast move navigation, plus a tap-to-snap feature that instantly brings you to any position. The resizable diagrams are easy to view and gentle on the eyes.

For larger navigation tasks, Forward Chess lets you jump directly to chapters, scroll smoothly within any chapter, and easily move through long variation trees.

Forward Chess now supports note management: create, edit, and delete notes. The app also allows multiple bookmarks per book.

Forward Chess currently offers titles from leading chess publishers: Quality Chess, Chess Stars, Russell Enterprises, Chess Informant, New In Chess, and Mongoose Press.

Dozens of recent releases from these publishers are available for purchase in the Forward Chess bookstore. You can also try free sample books right away.

Forward Chess is designed to advance your chess training to the next level!
