Square Enix's Foamstars Goes Free-to-Play This Fall!
Get ready for some bubbly action! Square Enix has revealed that their 4v4 shooter, Foamstars, will transition to a free-to-play model this October. This exciting news means players will no longer need a PlayStation Plus subscription to join the fun.
Foamstars: Free-to-Play Launch on October 4th
The change takes effect October 4th, 2024, at 1:00 a.m. UTC. Currently priced at $29.99 for PS4 and PS5, Foamstars will be completely free to download and play after this date.
A Thank You to Early Adopters: The Legacy Gift
As a thank you to players who purchased Foamstars before the free-to-play transition, Square Enix will be offering a special "Legacy Gift." This exclusive in-game bundle includes:
- 12 color-variant Bubble Beastie skins
- 1 exclusive Slide Board design
- 1 "Legacy" title
