Annapurna Interactive recently experienced a significant staff exodus, raising concerns about the future of its projects. However, several high-profile titles appear unaffected.
Control 2, Wanderstop, and Others Remain on Track
Following the mass resignation, developers clarified the status of their games. Remedy Entertainment confirmed that its agreement for Control 2, including related rights, is with Annapurna Pictures and that Remedy is self-publishing, ensuring continued development.
Davey Wreden (The Stanley Parable) and Team Ivy Road have both reassured fans that Wanderstop development is progressing without interruption. Wreden expressed confidence in its imminent release. Team Ivy Road acknowledged the unexpected setback but confirmed continued work.
Matt Newell's Lushfoil Photography Sim, nearing completion, is also expected to proceed as planned. While acknowledging the loss of collaboration with Annapurna Interactive, the team expressed confidence in the project's future and promised regular updates.
Beethoven & Dinosaur, creators of The Artful Escape, confirmed that their upcoming title, Mixtape, remains in active development.
