GTA 6: Ex-Developer Hints at a Groundbreaking Experience
Rockstar Once Again Raises the Bar with GTA 6
In a recent interview with YouTube channel GTAVIoclock, former Rockstar Games developer Ben Hinchliffe shared his perspective on the upcoming GTA 6. Hinchliffe, a contributor to several Rockstar titles including GTA 6, GTA 5, Red Dead Redemption 2, and L.A. Noire, offered a glimpse into the game's development.
He revealed access to significant portions of the game's content and storyline, expressing excitement about its evolution. Hinchliffe highlighted the substantial changes from his departure to the final version, emphasizing his confidence in the final product.
Rockstar Games unveiled the official GTA 6 trailer last year, showcasing the protagonists, Vice City setting, and a glimpse of the crime-filled adventure. Scheduled for Fall 2025 release exclusively on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, details have been scarce. However, Hinchliffe confirmed GTA 6 represents a significant leap forward for Rockstar Games, setting a new standard.
He pointed to the continuous evolution of realism in Rockstar's games, noting that GTA 6 continues this trend, with more realistic character behavior and interactions. "Rockstar has raised the bar again," he stated.

Since Hinchliffe's departure three years ago, GTA 6 has likely undergone extensive refinement and performance optimization. According to Hinchliffe, Rockstar's current focus is likely on bug fixing and addressing any remaining developmental issues.
Regarding fan reaction, Hinchliffe anticipates an overwhelmingly positive response, particularly due to the game's realism. "It will blow people away," he predicted, adding that the game's sales will be phenomenal. He expressed his excitement for players to finally experience GTA 6.
