The First Berserker: Khazan has thrilled fans with a fresh gameplay trailer unveiled during IGN Fan Fest on February 27, 2025. Developed by South Korea's Neople, the trailer gives us an exciting look at the different boss fights players can expect to encounter. The spotlight was on an umbrella-wielding boss that appears to be a significant part of the main storyline, as evidenced by a brief cutscene before the battle commences. Although the HUD was absent during the battle, the trailer also introduced us to two other formidable foes: Shactuka, a wolf-like beast, and the Specter of Bhangau, a ram-like creature armed with a hammer and spike.

Possible Awakened Form

A highlight of the trailer was Khazan's transformation into what seems to be an Awakened form. This new state shifts Khazan from his traditional samurai-like look to a more armored appearance with a striking red glow. In this form, Khazan wields a variety of weapons, enabling him to execute a range of amplified attacks and move at a heightened speed. The trailer showcased the game’s combat mechanics, including blocking projectiles, parrying, and executing fast-paced combos. However, the effectiveness of Khazan's attacks on the bosses appeared minimal, underscoring the game's challenging, Souls-like combat style.

While Neople has not officially confirmed details about this Awakened form, the trailer suggests it will be a key mechanic for Khazan, enabling him to unleash devastating damage and create extensive combos with different weapons.
