After Four Years of Launch, Alchemy Stars Shutting Down and Getting an Offline Version
Alchemy Stars is shutting down its online services on January 24th, 2025, but will transition to an offline version. This means players can still access and replay the game's story after the shutdown.
Shutdown Date and Offline Transition:
The game's live service ends January 24th, 2025. A crucial update (version 1.43.0) will be released on January 10th, 2025, from 4:00 to 9:00 GMT, introducing a local data save feature. This update is essential for preserving your game progress.
Saving Your Game Data:
After the January 10th update, a data save button will appear on the main menu. Players must save their data before January 24th at 4:00 GMT; unsaved progress will be lost permanently. Multiple saves are permitted before the deadline.
Offline Version Limitations:
The offline version will be a static release; no further updates will be available. Deleting the app will result in irreversible data loss; reinstalling will not be possible. The offline mode allows players to review their saved progress, replay the story, and continue unit upgrades.
Final Thoughts:
While a complete shutdown would have been more drastic, the offline version offers a way to preserve player progress and revisit the game's content. Download Alchemy Stars from the Google Play Store before the online services cease.
