Bethesda recently concluded its Oblivion Remastered showcase, revealing the game's immediate availability. While demonstrating significant visual and technical improvements over the original, developers confirmed the remaster won't support official mods.

According to Bethesda's official support page, Oblivion Remastered won't include mod integration. The company provided no explanation for this surprising decision, especially given their history of releasing Creation Kits for titles like Fallout 4, Skyrim, and Starfield.

The modding community has nonetheless begun adapting classic mods using the original Creation Kit toolset. Early reports on Reddit indicate mods are functioning despite the transition to Unreal Engine 5 architecture.
