Pikmin Bloom Celebrates 3.5 Years with Classic Nintendo Console Theme

Pikmin Bloom is set to celebrate its 3.5th anniversary next month, and Niantic is pulling out all the stops with a nostalgic twist. The festivities will kick off with a special event starting on May 1st, 2025, and you won't want to miss it!

The Update Is a Cool Throwback to the Good Old Nintendo Days!

Over the years, Pikmin Bloom has delighted us with a variety of fun decor, from Pikmin adorned with Mahjong Tiles to those sporting Playing Cards. For its 3.5th anniversary, the game is taking us back to the classic era of Nintendo with the introduction of decor inspired by 80s and 90s game consoles.

Adding to the nostalgia, a new Playing Card (Clubs Suit) Decor Pikmin will be available, paying homage to Nintendo's origins in the playing card industry before they ventured into video games. These cards are designed to reflect the style of Nintendo's vintage playing card decks.

The event will run from May 1st to May 31st, 2025, giving you a full month to engage in event missions and collect unique Pikmin. Completing Event Challenge missions will reward you with random items such as Game Button Cells, seedlings that can grow into Nintendo Consoles ‘80-‘95 Decor Pikmin, and flower petals.

During the event, keep an eye out for Brilliant Mushrooms. Destroying these will yield Mystery Boxes containing Game Button Cells, flower petals, and other goodies. The Nintendo Consoles ‘80-‘95 or Playing Card Decor Pikmin are particularly effective at tackling these mushrooms.

Pikmin Bloom 3.5th Anniversary Also Brings Big Flowers in May

May is the month for blooming flowers in Pikmin Bloom. Plant red, yellow, white, or blue petals around your flowers, and they could transform into beautiful carnations, sweet peas, lilies of the valley, freesias, canola flowers, or special anniversary roses.

There's also an exciting nectar update. Fruits obtained from mushrooms in May will provide nectar not only for regular flowers but also for the special blooms like carnations, sweet peas, lilies of the valley, freesias, canola flowers, and anniversary roses.

Don't forget about the other exciting events happening, such as Community Day. Make sure to download Pikmin Bloom from the Google Play Store and get ready for the 3.5th anniversary celebration.
