Rumors are swirling online regarding leaked images and video footage from Sega's highly anticipated Jet Set Radio remake. Leaker Midori, known for providing updates on various Sega projects including Crazy Taxi, Virtua Fighter, and Golden Axe remakes, has previously hinted at both a reboot (a live-service game) and a separate remake for Jet Set Radio. The leaked material, reportedly sourced from Midori, seems to pertain to the latter.

Twitter user MSKAZZY69 shared four screenshots allegedly showcasing the remake's in-development version, including map views and gameplay snippets. MSKAZZY69 claims the game is a "complete remake of the original, totally separate from the new one," describing it as an "open-world remake." This aligns with Midori's earlier statements suggesting graffiti mechanics, shooting gameplay, and an expanded open world with a new storyline.

Jet Set Radio Remake Gameplay Footage: A Question of Authenticity

Adding fuel to the fire, a YouTube video purportedly displaying gameplay footage emerged. The video's art style and graphics mirror the screenshots, featuring updated, more realistic character models and environments. The footage depicts protagonist Beat engaging in graffiti art, executing skateboarding tricks, and navigating the game's Tokyo setting.

However, the authenticity remains questionable. Midori has reportedly deactivated their social media accounts, making verification difficult. While the leaked images and video have generated considerable excitement, it's crucial to approach them with caution until official confirmation from Sega.
