Stellar Blade is getting into the holiday spirit with a festive update launching December 17th! This update brings new outfits, decorations, a mini-game, and more. Let's dive into the details.

Get ready for some Christmas cheer! Eve and other characters will sport brand-new holiday outfits. The update includes:
- Santa Dress (Eve)
- Rudolph Pack (Drone)
- I’m No Santa (Adam)
Eve's festive look can be further personalized with a Santa Girl hairstyle and accessories like Snow Crystal Glasses, Wreath Earrings, and Sleigh Ear Cuffs.
Xion's Festive Transformation and Mini-Game Fun
Xion, the game's human settlement, is getting a holiday makeover! Expect warm lights and festive red, green, and white decorations adorning The Last Gulp and Eve's camp. New seasonal background music ("Dawn (Winter)" and "Take me away") adds to the relaxing atmosphere.
A new mini-game is also part of the update. While details are scarce, it involves targeting a holiday-themed drone for special rewards.
Control Your Festive Fun: Enabling and Disabling Seasonal Content
This update introduces the ability to enable or disable seasonal content, including the Nier:Automata DLC. Find this option in the game's Settings under Gameplay, choosing from:
- Auto: Automatically enables or disables based on the season.
- Disable: Deactivates seasonal content regardless of the season.
- Enable: Activates seasonal content regardless of the season.
Note: Changing this setting requires a game restart from your most recent save.
Mixed Reception: A Celebration with Concerns
While the announcement was largely well-received, with many fans affectionately dubbing Eve "Christmas Eve," some players expressed concerns. Some questioned the frequency of event updates for a single-player game, while others found the need to restart the game to access the seasonal content inconvenient. The relatively short playtime of Stellar Blade (around 30 hours) contributes to this issue, as players may have already completed the main story.
