The Pokémon Company addresses ongoing shortages of its highly anticipated Prismatic Evolutions expansion for the Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG). Acknowledging widespread supply issues impacting global availability, including the US, the company issued a statement expressing gratitude for fans' patience.
The statement confirms that reprints of Prismatic Evolutions products are currently underway and will soon reach licensed distributors. While the exact timeframe remains unstated, the company assures fans of its commitment to maximizing production to meet the exceptionally high demand. The statement avoids directly addressing speculation regarding scalping as a contributing factor, attributing the shortages solely to "high demand."
Beyond the reprints, The Pokémon Company announced additional Prismatic Evolutions products launching in the coming months. These include a Mini Tin and Surprise Box (February 7th), a Booster Bundle and Accessory Pouch Special Collection (March 7th and April 25th, respectively), a Super-Premium Collection (May 16th), and a Premium Figure Collection (September 26th). Players can also obtain Prismatic Evolutions cards in the Pokémon TCG Live mobile game starting January 16th via the Battle Pass. The company's proactive response suggests a concerted effort to rectify the supply issues and ensure broader access to the popular expansion.
