It's worth recalling that Helldivers 2 set a record as the fastest-selling PlayStation Studios game ever, amassing an incredible 12 million copies sold within just 12 weeks of its launch. This record-breaking achievement is one that other first-party Sony-developed games are unlikely to surpass. However, the journey since its explosive debut has been anything but smooth, marked by significant events such as the reversal of PSN account requirements on Steam, review-bomb campaigns, and a community frequently at odds with the game itself over the balance of nerfs and buffs.
